Two revisions left on this, the final copy of my thesis.
Unfortunately, they're quite daunting...

1. Re-write the ending for my chapter "A Visit to Hell: The Holocaust and the Final Solution"
The new ending to bring to light the strange opposing relationship the Holocaust has with the people as that held by capital punishment. Executions were exposed in the past and now suppressed in the present, but the Holocaust was hidden while it occurred and is now a part of modern culture through exhaustive media coverage. This is an example of the 'never again' agenda and both trends exhibit the modern aversion to the taking of a life.

2. Write a comprehensive and meaningful conclusion tying the whole bloody lot into architecture...
Not as difficult as it sounds, to be sure. The conclusion will deal with the paradox of sovereignty (how the ruling body transgresses the rule on order to uphold the rule, punishing killing by killing) and the modern crisis of representation. Meaning? In the past the paradox was dealt with by exhibiting the rites of execution and creating public support through an architecture of festival and inclusion. The modern state deals with the paradox through non-representation and an architecture of invisibility. The crisis arises when the motives of capital punishment are explored, as a non-represented deterrent by its very definition has no effect. The sovereign power of exception is thus now only a power that exacts vengeance.

Um... yeah. I think that's about it.
